The Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) president criticised the Opposition's record on reservation and social justice during a rally in Varanasi.
Union Minister and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) national president Chirag Paswan accused the Congress and the Samajwadi Party of double standards regarding the Constitution, reservation, and social justice on Thursday.
According to The New Indian Express, Paswan was addressing a public rally in Varanasi, which is the parliamentary constituency of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Paswan questioned the record of the Congress and the Samajwadi Party in respecting Dr B R Ambedkar. He stated that parties claiming to support the Constitution and Babasaheb should answer for their political history.
The Minister said there is no need to fear for the protection of reservation or the Constitution. He stated that as long as he is alive, neither will face any threat.
Referring to his late father, Ram Vilas Paswan, he said it was his responsibility to fulfil his father's dreams and work towards building the Uttar Pradesh his father had envisioned.
Paswan also noted that many young people from Uttar Pradesh have been forced to move to other states for jobs. He called for the support of the elderly, women, and youth to make the state developed.
