Congress has no vision for Punjab, says AAP leader Aman Arora
The Aam Aadmi Party criticised Rahul Gandhi for focusing on attacks against the state government during his recent rally in Sangrur.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) criticised Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday following his Insaaf Rally in Sangrur, according to The Tribune. The party claimed Gandhi failed to provide a roadmap or vision for the future of Punjab.
Punjab AAP president Aman Arora said Gandhi focused on attacking Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and the elected state government rather than addressing the state's development priorities. Arora stated that the Congress leadership has little to offer the state.
The AAP also accused Gandhi of staying silent regarding a reported incident where a senior Dalit leader was allegedly assaulted and insulted with casteist slurs inside Congress Bhawan. The party claimed this silence shows an anti-Dalit mindset.
Arora further alleged that the Congress has become a fragmented organisation with declining political relevance and electoral setbacks across the country. He noted that the party has been unable to present a constructive agenda for Punjab.
While the AAP claimed the Mann government has fulfilled its five guarantees, it accused the Congress of using political rhetoric instead of presenting concrete plans. The party said the Sangrur rally offered no answers regarding the development priorities of the Congress.
