The England all-rounder moved from Sunrisers Hyderabad to Chennai Super Kings as part of a four-player exchange between the teams.

England all-rounder Liam Livingstone has joined Chennai Super Kings (CSK) from Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) as part of a four-player trade, according to The News Mill.

The trade, which took place on Thursday ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2027 season, involves Livingstone moving to CSK at a revised fee of Rs 6 crore. He was previously purchased by SRH for Rs 13 crore ahead of IPL 2026.

Australian seam-bowling all-rounder Jack Edwards also transferred from SRH to CSK, retaining his contract value of Rs 3 crore. In exchange, SRH acquired left-arm pacer Khaleel Ahmed and Australian fast bowler Nathan Ellis on existing contracts of Rs 4.8 crore and Rs 2 crore, respectively.

Speaking during the Abu Dhabi T10 League 2026, Livingstone said he was very excited and noted that CSK is a huge franchise that has been successful over the last 17 or 18 years of the IPL.

Livingstone added that he has played cricket there before and is looking forward to wearing the famous yellow shirt and performing for the CSK fans.
