Renaissance Goa hosts two-day Day of Discovery programme to explore local culture
The event featured traditional culinary experiences, Azulejo tile workshops, and guided explorations of lesser-known neighbourhoods in Goa.
Renaissance Goa organised a two-day Day of Discovery programme on October 31 and November 1 to explore the state's food traditions, local crafts, and history, according to a report by Deccan Chronicle.
The event, titled ‘Layered Like Goa’, included a traditional Goan thali at The Bloom Kitchen and an Azulejo tile sip-and-paint session. The tile workshop allowed guests to learn about the firing and glazing processes used to create the six-by-six-inch decorative squares.
The programme also featured the hotel’s Beverage Rituals Collection 2026, which included a Renaissance punch bowl ritual and an Italian-inspired dinner at Casa Limone. A Makers Market at Fiore was held to bring local Goan makers into the hotel.
On the second day, guests participated in a Navigator-led exploration of lesser-known neighbourhoods. These experiences included visits to Divar Island and a heritage walk through the Fontainhas area.
The hotel has partnered with Iris Antonio, a seventh-generation resident of a century-old house, to offer guests home visits and feni tastings. The hotel is also looking to add the Museum of Goa to its regular Navigator experiences.
