Ed Sheeran wrote rap for Shah Rukh Khan song Tu Mil Jaaye

The British singer recorded his part for the track during his recent visit to India after meeting the composers.

British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran wrote and recorded an English rap for the song Tu Mil Jaaye, according to Rediff. The track is part of the upcoming film King starring Shah Rukh Khan and was released on Monday to mark the actor's 61st birthday.

Sheeran stated on Instagram that he recorded his verse on the same night he was introduced to composers Sachin-Jigar during his last trip to India. He noted that during their first meeting, Khan requested that he create a song for his next film and make it his first Bollywood track.

The song features vocals from Arijit Singh and includes lyrics by Kumaar. Sachin-Jigar composed the music, while Madhubanti Bagchi and choreographers Piyush-Shazia contributed to the track.

The film King is directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures. The cast includes Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Jaideep Ahlawat, Abhay Verma, and Arshad Warsi.

The action film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on December 24, 2026. Tu Mil Jaaye is currently available on the Zee Music Company and T-Series YouTube channels.
