Internal disputes within Telangana Congress enter public view
Disagreements among MLAs, MPs, and Ministers regarding political and financial matters have surfaced as the state government nears three years in office.
Internal friction within the Telangana Congress has become public as the state government approaches its third year in office, according to Telangana Today. Disputes involving various MLAs, MPs, and Ministers over political and financial issues have emerged.
Jadcherla MLA J Anirudh Reddy has accused Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka of causing delays in the release of bills. Additionally, Munugode MLA Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy criticised Irrigation Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy for alleged negligence regarding irrigation works in Munugode.
The latest conflict involves Peddapalli MP G Vamshi Krishna and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu. Vamshi Krishna made sarcastic remarks regarding the Minister's absence from a Congress programme held at Ramleela Grounds in New Delhi on Sunday.
In a letter, Vamshi Krishna requested the Minister not to penalise Peddapalli MLA Vijayaramana Rao and Ramagundam MLA Makhan Singh Thakur. He questioned why the Minister and the two MLAs were absent from the 'Vote Chori' programme in New Delhi while other leaders faced discipline.
Vamshi Krishna also objected to the suspension of a tribal woman leader and others following a school bag distribution event in Koyyur. He stated that the suspensions occurred without prior notice and argued that party discipline must be applied equally to all members, including MPs, MLAs, and Ministers.
The MP noted that if attending his programme is considered a disciplinary violation, then the absence of MLAs from a crucial party event should also be viewed seriously.
