The Uttar Pradesh regional branch of the Indian Institute of Public Administration secured the top position among 25 national branches.
The Uttar Pradesh regional branch of the Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA) has been named the institute's best branch for 2025-26, according to the Hindustan Times. The branch ranked first among 25 branches across India.
Vice-President of India and IIPA president C P Radhakrishnan handed over the award during a ceremony at the institute's headquarters in New Delhi. R Ramani, the chairman of the Uttar Pradesh regional branch, and honorary secretary K Ravinder Naik accepted the honour on behalf of the unit.
The recognition focuses on the branch's work in administrative capacity building, training programmes, academic discussions, and initiatives related to public interest. The branch operates from Lucknow.
Union minister Jitendra Singh and IIPA director general Surendra Kumar Bagde were also present at the event. The IIPA was founded by the Government of India to support public welfare, administrative reforms, good governance, and democratic administration.
Chairman R Ramani stated that the award was a result of the combined efforts of the branch's employees, associates, office-bearers, and members. He noted that the achievement belonged to everyone associated with the institution rather than a single person.
Ramani also encouraged members to maintain their level of commitment to keep the branch's standing in future years.
