Nationalist Congress Party–Sharadchandra Pawar (NCP-SP) chief Sharad Pawar was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai on Wednesday, according to reports by The Times of India and Hindustan Times.
The veteran leader had been discharged from Ruby Hall Clinic in Pune earlier that day after spending two days under medical observation.
Baramati MP and NCP (SP) working president Supriya Sule stated on X that her father was being admitted for additional testing.
Dr Purvez K Grant, chief cardiologist and chairman of Ruby Hall Clinic, said Pawar was admitted for observation and a general check-up after experiencing pleuritic pain.
Pawar had been admitted on November 2 due to a cough and chest pain that typically worsens during breathing, coughing, or sneezing.
Earlier on Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Pawar via telephone to enquire about his health, according to Pawar's aide Vitthal Maniyar.
