Abu Dhabi T10 rejects PCB demand for Rs 12 lakh per player
The league has reportedly told Pakistani cricketers to pay the NoC fees themselves if they wish to participate in the 2026 edition.
The Abu Dhabi T10 league has refused a demand from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to pay $10,000, approximately Rs 12 lakh, per player for No-Objection Certificates (NoCs), according to News18.
The league has reportedly told Pakistani players to pay the fee out of their own pockets if they still wish to participate in the 2026 edition of the competition.
Players including Shadab Khan, Naseem Shah, Fakhar Zaman, Salman Irshad, Sufyan Moqim, Iftikhar Ahmed, Abbas Afridi, and Faheem Ashraf have signed contracts with various franchises, but their participation is now in doubt.
The PCB has not yet commented on the issue. Earlier this month, Nepal Premier League (NPL) organisers alleged the PCB sought $25,000, or approximately Rs 24 lakh, per player for NoCs.
Cricinfo reported that the PCB withheld permissions for several players, including T20I captain Sahibzada Farhan, Haider Ali, Hunain Shah, Iftikhar Ahmed, and Hasan Ali.
Major League Cricket (MLC) franchise owners previously alleged the PCB demanded $25,000 per player without disclosing the fee during recruitment. PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi had announced a separate contract category for T20 specialists to avoid NoC requirements, but these contracts have not been distributed.
