Delhi coach Vijay Dahiya wants Virat Kohli for Vijay Hazare Trophy
Head coach Vijay Dahiya expressed interest in having the batter join the dressing room to mentor players on work ethic.
Delhi head coach Vijay Dahiya said on Thursday that he wants Virat Kohli to play for the state in the upcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy, which begins on December 14.
Speaking to reporters at the Air Force Complex Ground in Palam after a draw against Services, Dahiya stated that Kohli remains an option for Delhi.
According to The Indian Express, Kohli has not made a formal announcement regarding his availability, but Dahiya said the batter is available for white-ball cricket.
Dahiya said he would love to have Kohli in the dressing room to teach players about hard work and the effort required to reach such heights.
The coach noted that Kohli, who has played 100 Test matches, could act as a mentor for red-ball cricket and share his ideas with the team.
Dahiya also mentioned that during the match against Services, opener Priyansh Arya asked how Kohli would have chased a particular target.
