Liam Livingstone and Jack Edwards move to Chennai Super Kings while Khaleel Ahmed and Nathan Ellis join Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have completed a four-player trade deal ahead of the IPL 2027 season, according to News18, Times of India and ANI.
Under the agreement, England all-rounder Liam Livingstone and Australian seam-bowling all-rounder Jack Edwards will join CSK. Livingstone, who was signed by SRH for Rs 13 crore, will join the Chennai-based franchise at a revised fee of Rs 6 crore.
In exchange, SRH have secured the services of left-arm pacer Khaleel Ahmed and Australian fast bowler Nathan Ellis. Khaleel returns to Hyderabad at his existing fee of Rs 4.8 crore after previously representing the franchise between 2018 and 2021. Nathan Ellis will join SRH at his existing fee of Rs 2 crore.
Jack Edwards moves to CSK at his existing salary of Rs 3 crore. The Australian all-rounder missed the IPL 2026 season due to a foot injury.
Khaleel's recent stint with CSK included 15 wickets in 14 matches during IPL 2025, but his 2026 campaign was limited to five matches before a right quadriceps injury ruled him out. Similarly, Ellis missed the entire 2026 tournament after aggravating a hamstring injury.
The trade comes before next month's IPL mini auction as both franchises reshape their squads.
