Spend more time in India, Rijiju tells Rahul Gandhi
Union Minister Kiren Rijiju listed seven conditions for the Congress party to win more MPs in a post on X.
Union Minister Kiren Rijiju on Wednesday told Congress leader Rahul Gandhi that he must spend more time in India and stop meeting anti-India people if the Opposition party wants to win more MPs, according to The Hindu.
In a post on X, Rijiju listed seven conditions for the Congress leader. He said Gandhi should avoid frequent secret foreign vacations, respect seniors to gain wisdom, and stop meeting anti-India people to avoid promoting their agenda.
Rijiju further stated that Gandhi should end deep hatred against the BJP, RSS and Modi, and treat the BJP as a political opponent rather than an enemy. He also advised the Congress leader to take Parliament more seriously and allow MPs to participate in debates.
The Minister added that the Congress should respect the Constitution of India, honour constitutional institutions, and allow the party to function as a democratic party by smashing dynastic politics.
The remarks came after Rahul Gandhi challenged Prime Minister Modi to an open debate. Gandhi said he would prove in five minutes that the PM was a traitor and accused the PM of occupying the chair with foreign help.
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge responded by saying the Prime Minister should face questions on vote theft. Rijiju hit back, stating that 'Dimaagi Naxal' refers to those who support Maoist agendas, separatists, or conspire to separate the North-East from India.
