BJP demands CBI probe into Punjab PCS Mains examination results

BJP National Spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari alleged that the Punjab government is protecting a paper leak mafia following recent recruitment results.

BJP National Spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari on Thursday accused the Punjab government of involvement in a paper leak and selection racket. Speaking at a press conference, Bhandari demanded a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the Punjab Civil Services (PCS) Mains examination results, according to ANI.

Bhandari alleged that the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) declared the results on Wednesday night after a delay of more than two years since the 2020 examination. He claimed that candidates whose roll numbers were not registered for the exam were among those selected.

The BJP spokesperson further alleged that 25 per cent of the successful candidates came from a single examination centre. He noted that this centre is located within the constituency of an Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA.

Bhandari also claimed that the standard procedure of inviting three times the number of candidates who appeared for the exam to attend interviews was not followed. He stated that the Aam Aadmi Party is supporting and protecting a paper leak mafia under the instructions of Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann.

The BJP leader outlined five specific reasons for alleging fraud, including the registration discrepancies, the concentration of successful candidates at one centre, the interview shortlisting process, the location of the centre, and the two-year delay in declaring results.
