PM Modi may launch Patna-Purnia Expressway during Vaishali visit
The proposed six-lane greenfield corridor is expected to be part of several development projects during the Prime Minister's visit on November 20.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to visit Vaishali on November 20 for a public event where he may initiate several development projects in Bihar, according to Urban Acres. These projects could include the proposed Patna-Purnia Expressway, also known as National Expressway-9.
The proposed expressway is planned as a six-lane greenfield corridor starting at Mirnagar in Vaishali district. It is intended to pass through Samastipur, Darbhanga, Saharsa and Madhepura before reaching Chand Bhatti in Purnia district.
The Prime Minister is also expected to lay foundation stones or inaugurate projects in Banka and Bhagalpur districts. These may include the Ajgaibinath Greenfield Airport near Sultanganj and a proposed Central University near Vikramshila.
Bihar BJP president Sanjay Saraogi inspected the Jafarpatti Industrial Area in Vaishali, where the public programme is scheduled to take place. Saraogi reviewed arrangements with officials and discussed logistical preparations for the event.
Saraogi stated that the visit would offer fresh momentum to Bihar's development initiatives and assist in accelerating infrastructure growth and investment in the state.
The formal project list and implementation timelines are expected to be clarified before the scheduled November 20 programme.
