BJP leaders criticise Mamata Banerjee and Congress alliance
The Bharatiya Janata Party accused the Trinamool Congress and Congress of joining forces to create anarchy in the country.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leadership continued to criticise the alliance between the Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress and the Congress party on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, according to The Hindu.
West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari, who participated in a ‘Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy’ march in Siliguri, alleged that Mamata Banerjee and Rahul Gandhi are fighting together to keep infiltrators in India.
Adhikari claimed the former Chief Minister is going to Delhi to ally with anarchists and noted she was not invited to inaugurate any Durga Puja in Kolkata.
BJP leader and former Union Minister Smriti Irani also criticised the alliance during a press conference in Kolkata, accusing the Trinamool Congress of trampling democracy by attacking BJP workers and committing atrocities on women workers.
Irani stated that political goons are joining hands with the Congress at Ramlila Maidan and called Rahul Gandhi a "perpetual prince in the waiting."
West Bengal Congress president Subhankar Sarkar called on all Opposition parties on Tuesday to come together using "white flags" instead of their party flags.
