KTR alleges Congress and BJP are compromising Telangana interests for Delhi bosses

BRS working president KT Rama Rao accused both national parties of being subservient to their central leaderships.

BRS working president KT Rama Rao accused Congress and BJP leaders on Wednesday of compromising the interests of Telangana to please their respective leaderships in Delhi. Speaking at Telangana Bhavan in Hyderabad, Rama Rao claimed both parties are essentially the same and are mortgaging the state's self-respect for their positions.

According to reports from The New Indian Express and Telangana Today, Rama Rao alleged that Congress leaders carry bags for Delhi leaders, while BJP leaders carry their footwear. He cited an incident where Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy was allegedly pushed aside by security personnel accompanying Priyanka Gandhi as evidence of a lack of respect from the national Congress leadership.

Targeting the BJP, Rama Rao alleged that MoS for Home Bandi Sanjay Kumar acted like a bouncer for Union Home Minister Amit Shah. He also criticised state BJP president N Ramchander Rao for touching the feet of Amit Shah during his visit to Hyderabad.

The Sircilla legislator further accused the Congress government of neglecting the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme and failing to address the drinking water crisis in Hyderabad. He also questioned the government's plan to sell 550 acres of land in Miyapur, suggesting the land should instead be used for housing martyrs' families, the urban poor, schools, and parks.

Rama Rao also alleged that the government is trying to sell almost 10,000 acres across 21 industrial estates through the Hyderabad Industrial Land Transformation (HILT) policy. He claimed the government is selling public assets instead of using them for civic infrastructure like bus depots and water tanks.
